BioLite BaseCamp stove

We've been fans of the BioLite stove since it debuted, because it was a no-liquid-required backpacking stove with a bonus: It can recharge your gadgets. Lighting tinder in it generates electricity, which powers a fan that not only keeps the fire humming but also provides enough power to charge devices plugged into its USB port. The latest offering from BioLite does the same, but in a bigger package. There's a generous side port to load wood into the fire, and a 13-inch top on which you can cook fare for large parties. And since there's more heat, there's more energy to use: It now generates 5 watts of power, so it can charge tablets and other larger devices. [$300; biolitestove.com]
