Low Squat to Box Jumps
Box jumps are great for building explosive leg movements, says Pekus, but would-be warriors need to try this more demanding variation. Set a medicine ball a couple feet out from a box — use a height that's safe but challenging. Stand in between the ball and the box. Squat down until glutes touch the medicine ball. From that low squat, explode up and jump onto the box. Do a set of eight reps.
