When the U.S. Department of Energy held a contest to find the perfect bulb to replace the traditional but inefficient 60-watt incandescent, Philips won the L Prize with this 10-watt LED light that lasts 20 years. The aptly named Philips Award Winning LED Bulb has a flattened yellow globe in matte-white housing. It contains no mercury or lead and emits a more natural light than other energy-efficient models.
