10. Day of The Animals (1977)
This nature-themed ensemble disaster movie tells the story of an eclectic group of hikers following a guide (Christopher George) into the North California wilderness. Things start to get strange when the depleted ozone layer somehow causes all of the animals to run amok, resulting in one particularly memorable scene where a shirtless advertising executive (Leslie Nielson) wrestles a bear in a thunderstorm. The scene features a lot of bear-hugging before things head south for the future Frank Drebin. Ciarniello says hugging — when bears stand up and put their front paws on each other — in a grizzly-on-human encounter wouldn't happen. "This usually occurs between two young males preparing for when they're older and learning how to fight, or two adult males fighting over a female."
