6. Grizzly (1976)
Released with the tag line "It's Jaws with claws!" this bearsploitation horror flick featured an 11-foot tall Kodiak grizzly named Teddy, the largest bear in captivity at the time. Despite the film's overuse of fake grizzly arms, it features one disturbing scene where a bear expert (Richard Jaeckel) is mauled and passes out. When he comes to, he's half-buried in the ground and covered in grass. The grizzly suddenly reappears and kills him. Apparently, this is an actual bear practice "Let's say it has killed a moose, and a really injured deer walks by," Ciarniello says."It will immobilize or kill that deer just because it can, and then bury it to eat later – it is possible the deer could still be partially alive. And then it will finish the moose and then go back to the deer."
