Ground Control (Chicago)
There's something undeniably cool about Ground Control. It's a casual place for brunch, lunch, and dinner in the evergreen hip Logan Square neighborhood. The owners have an event space and art gallery across the street, available upon request. And its menu maybe has everything you could ever want, from sweet and spicy Asian barbecued seitan to creamy pasta to homemade biscuits with "sausage" gravy. There's also a serious cocktail, wine, and craft beer list—this is Chicago, after all, so they know how to drink. The only thing wrong with this place? They're closed on Monday, so plan accordingly.
