The sports you played in college are paying off in a big way. No, not football or basketball — think beer pong, foosball, and your favorite tailgating games. With tons of tournaments around the country and a few around the world, tour prize purse amounts for games are more than enough to pay off student loan debt, reaching thousands and millions for some. And the bragging rights are worth even more.

Championship: Professional Disc Golf Association World Championships, August 9–16, 2014, in Portland, Oregon
Rules: Like golf – but you substitute a Frisbee for the ball and clubs; and instead of a hole, you aim at a metal basket. Some holes stretch over 1,500 feet of open countryside.
Odds: The 20,000 active members of the PDGA tour compete in 2,000 tournaments over an eight-month season for prize money. "Some of the pros make $40,000 a year," says PDGA spokesman Matt Gregoire. "You can get by on that."
