The Kimchi Dog
Innovation in the world of hot dogs is as simple as seeing what you can put on top of a frank and if it tastes good or not. For anyone who already loves the traditional Korean mix of fermented veggies, spreading some on a hot dog already makes perfect sense. That unique blend of sour and spicy gives kimchi undeniable chemistry with the classic beef frank. Put it on a french roll or at least something sturdier than your average hot dog bun, then sneak in a little bit of sriracha mayo, maybe a little bok choy. Kimchi can be bought at your local Asian market or, of course, ordered online. It's also truly not that difficult to make, and you can experiment with a recipe until you get one that's just right for you. It may stray a bit from your traditional frank, but it's definitely one of the better ways to dress a hot dog.
