Honda Civic Concept
A game changer for Honda, whose Civic once dominated the compact market, this sharp new redesign puts the focus squarely on performance and alludes to future design cues from the Japanese automaker. Forgoing the cab-forward design of past models, the 10th-generation Civic is longer, wider and more powerful — thanks, in part, to a new 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The hood is noticeably longer and, thanks to wheel placement closer to the front bumper, a sleeker aesthetic is achieved. Variants to be offered include a sedan, hatchback and coupe, as well as a Type-R performance edition. The 20-inch wheels shown here, however, are likely simply for show.
