Fire in the Ham
Brewer: Jack's Abby
This smoked lager is the closest thing to Bamberg's famous rauchbiers that's produced stateside. Jack's Abby brews Fire in the Ham almost entirely from beechwood-smoked grains — typically smoked barley is only a fraction of the ingredients. The huge, upfront smoke is balanced by a finish of caramel malt and spicy hops for a drinkable beer that tastes like you're having a side of bacon with a stein of Oktoberfest.
