Evoking expeditionary travel of a bygone era, Tiger Tops is tucked up amid the lush jungles of Chitwan National Park in the Nepalese Himalayas. At the center of camp is Gol Ghar, a main lodge with communal bar and platformed viewing deck above, and then a dozen canvas tents below that are tricked out with layers of carpeting, fine wood furniture, and protective cover from the elements, as well as hot/cold water and en suite bathrooms. There are twice daily walks through the forest, as well as opportunity for expeditions like boating trips or elephant safaris to take in the flora and fauna, including rhinos, elephants, crocs, leopards, and if you're lucky, the elusive and endangered Bengal Tiger.
