Bobsledding: Cool Runnings (1993)
Few sports movies are as fun as Cool Runnings, which follows the misguided dreams of three Jamaican sprinters who see their hopes dashed on the track, but refuse give up. Instead, with the help of coach Blitzer (John Candy) the Jamaicans take their talents to the frigid bobsled track of the Calgary Games to hopefully prove their families, their home country, the damn Swiss, and the rest of the world wrong. And yeah, they don't win. That would be too perfect for a film based on a true story. But they cross the line and earn the respect of their peers, who start a chills-inducing slow clap as the men carry their sled across the finish.
