Where to Stop: With a maximum speed of 45 mph and no commercial vehicles allowed, the Blue Ridge Parkway is a leisurely, super-chill road trip. Allow yourself a few days to enjoy it. Be sure to check out Poor Farmer's Market in Virginia at Mile 178 and take a sunrise hike at Waterrock Knob in North Carolina, (Mile 451), from which you can see North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina.
