Chef Josiah Citrin worked alongside Wolfgang Puck and Joachim Splichal before opening his own Santa Monica restaurant, Mélisse. The restaurant, which specializes in modern French cuisine and received two Michelin stars, was the inspiration for this smoothie. "I like to have something that's both filling and refreshing after my workout or morning surf," he says. "I've found this combination makes for a great meal replacement. It keeps me full and fixes my sweet tooth."
Josiah Citrin's Melisse Smoothie
- 1 scoop Earth Bar brand chocolate protein powder
- 1 full banana
- 4 ice cubes
- 1 cup organic almond milk
- ½ cup water
- 2 tsp cocoa powder.
Preparation: Blend until smooth.
