2016 Lincoln Continental Concept
With enough chrome on the interior to make the 21-inch polished aluminum wheels nearly superfluous, the new Continental Concept signals "baller" whether you roll this car through Detroit or Beijing. Yes, Lincoln's made sure this beast will look at home in China when it morphs from show car to production for 2016, because Asia is where all larger sedans need to succeed. Then again, the limo tradesfolk from Wall Street to L.A. will surely rejoice over another "black car" option at long last. As it is, the Concept is crammed with over-wrought cues, from zip-out leather travel cases mounted to the back sides of the front seats, to foldout airline tables. Some of these features are perfectly feasible, from rear seats trimmed in Alcantara and Venetian leather that recline deeply (see the current S-Class as the bogie here), to deep pile shearling wool carpeting. We don't anticipate the production Conti to feature the champagne chiller (positioned in the Concept's center console), but it's possible the tinting glass roof, which works like photochromic sunglasses, will be an option. Either a 2.7-liter or 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 will be the engine choices, and possibly AWD as well.
