As the snow melts (finally!), our thoughts turn to heading into the great outdoors – and all the great new stuff we’ll need to enjoy it. There's tons of gear coming out in the next few months and we’ve already run in, hiked with, rode on, drove in, listened to and played with most of it. In fact, our team of nearly two-dozen testers has been using (and abusing) all the new offerings to come up with this list of the very best stuff.

Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe
Owning an Alfa Romeo was once a dream on par with marrying a supermodel. Well, this spring you can actually get lucky – with the car. At a base price of $54,000, the Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe competes with affordable sports cars like the Corvette and Porsche Cayman. But this wedge of energy holds its own with supercar-like credentials. It's powered by a rambunctious, 237-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, but the 4C specializes in lithe moves rather than brute force: It has a carbon-fiber tub and a curb weight so feathery (around 2,000 pounds) that the rack-and-pinion steering doesn't even need power assist.
