1963-1991 Jeep Wagoneer
As the first luxury 4x4 to ever hit the market, the Jeep Wagoneer pioneered the sport utility vehicle concept. "In the 1980s and early 90s, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer was the ultimate SUV," says Logan. "With luxury features and the iconic wood grain panels, it was what the white collar professionals drove." Introduced as a successor to the Willys Jeep Station Wagon that had been built since the end of World War II, the Wagoneer was produced from 1963 to 1991, and saw only slight changes during its 28-year run — the third longest continuous production in auto history. And it may be making a comeback, according to Logan. "This classic marque is being revived by Jeep within the next two years to provide a vehicle that competes with the Range Rovers."
