Length: 100 miles, round-trip
Driving Time: 2.5 hours
Route: Going-to-the-Sun Road is the only road that crosses Glacier National Park in Montana. Because it traverses the high-altitude (read: snowy) Continental Divide, it's typically open from June to mid-October. Start in West Glacier and enjoy the 50-mile, one-way cruise.
Where to Stop: Apgar, to take in the view; Trail of the Cedars for a quick hike; Logan pass to stretch out your legs; St. Mary Lodge on the east side of the road for a cocktail; and Lake McDonald Lodge to grab a bite to eat and get a drink.
