Beans, including garbanzo (chickpeas), black, lima, pinto, navy, and kidney beans, are high in folate. They're also good gluten-free sources of iron, magnesium, zinc, calcium and fiber. Generally, dry beans have higher nutrient contents and less sodium than canned beans.
