Since his 2008 ascension to the NBA, 23-year-old Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love has emerged as one of the league's most dynamic young talents: He's a relentless rebounder who holds the record for the longest streak of double-doubles, and finished sixth in MVP voting this season. Love's offseason allows little time for slacking. When the sharpshooting threat isn't out promoting random video games – sports games and shooters are his thing – he's preparing to compete in London this summer as a member of the USA Olympic Basketball team. Still, Love managed to get an afternoon off to take us on a cruise through Los Angeles, where he talked about his musical heroes (he happens to be the nephew of Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love), clothing preferences, and how he ended up with a grand piano in his living room. "I grew up listening to The Rolling Stones, The Who, and the Beach Boys," says Love, careful to note the seminal surf-rock band co-founded by his uncle Mike. Since then, his tastes have shifted more toward hip-hop, thanks to his older brother's influence, but Love says his collection still remains ecumenical. "I have a fond appreciation for all music and can really listen to a wide range of things." Love says his headphones of choice are a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre Beats Pro Headphones. He rocks a personalized pair, naturally, saying he likes them for both their comfort and incredible sound quality.
