Rise of the Little Guys: Zano
Some of the most exciting drones coming out now are also among the smallest. Zano, a 1.9 oz quadcopter from UK-based startup Torquing Industries, makes drone operation more about tasking, and less about piloting. Instead of steering the bot using real or virtual control sticks, you can issue more general commands via smartphone app. And despite packing an impressive amount of autonomous flight control tech into such a tiny robot, Zano is pretty cheap, at around $250 per drone.
