The island of Maui has more than 22 named shore dives. Ka'anapali Beach provides one of the best and most convenient, just off a long stretch of sand and a few minutes' walk from numerous resorts, with excellent visibility and a variety of fish attracted to the rocky point. At Pu'u Keka'a, near the Sheraton, dive with green turtles and big schools of goatfish and triggerfish, as well as the occasional gray reef shark or eagle ray. Honolua Bay offers more unusual sights such as scorpionfish, eels, and turtle cleaning stations. On Kauai, green sea turtles, moray eels, and large schools of fish occupy a horseshoe bay at Koloa Landing.
