1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Vanvooren Drophead Coupe
This unique Phantom III is the sole true two-seated design built on this chassis. It was supplied new to General Wladyslaw Sikorski, the Commander in Chief of the Polish Armed Forces during World War II. Vanvooren clothed only three Phantom III chassis, and this vehicle has extra luggage space where the rear seats would normally be located. It is fitted with Marchal headlamps and a spare wheel in metal covers at each side. It also broke with tradition by having an independent front suspension. While the general was based in Scotland during the war, the car, capable of well over 90 mph, was registered in Perth for his use.
