1965 Shelby 427 Competition Cobra LOV1
One of the world's most powerful cars of its time, the 7-liter roadster replaced the aging 289 Competition Cobra. This model is one of the pure 427 Competition Cobras and one of the first of that chassis sold to a private team. During its heyday, it was converted to right-hand-drive for competition in Europe — winning the 1966 Ilford 500 — before being converted back to left-hand-drive. In 2002, a Cobra collector bought it and restored it to its right-hand-drive, race-winning 1966 configuration.
