Jim: The James Foley Story
In 2014, freelance photographer and videographer James Foley was captured and beheaded by Isis. The widely circulated video captivated the world, and introduced much of the world to the terrorist organization. A new documentary directed by Foley's childhood friend Brian Oakes, with significant input from his family, provides a window into Foley's experiences, and helps explains the thrill of conflict journalism, the harrowing experiences of those working in war zones, and the lack of protection in place for these front line dispatchers. The film premieres February 6, on HBO.
