When it comes to athletics, functional mobility is the key, and Ferriss advocates doing exercises that strengthen the body as they stretch it. "I have no issue with flexibility training," say Ferriss, "but the best way to gain functional flexibility is to focus on mobility training and full-range-of-motion weight training."
