Torture Test: Bike Locks
We attacked five heavy-duty bike locks with a variety of tools commonly used by thieves to see which lock is best for protecting your ride. The weapons of destruction we used included 24-inch bolt cutters (easy to conceal, since they need only leverage and a firm grip to cut), a 10-inch hacksaw fitted with a metal-cutting blade, and an 18V angle grinder (a loud, spark-shooting cordless tool used in metalworking).
