This summer, the World Cup comes to Brazil, the country that perfected the "Beautiful Game." You know what we say to that? Blah, blah blah, blah blah. A rich tradition of excellence is great and all, but the best way to get into soccer is to take an aggressive dislike to someone on not-your-team. You can have your fancy passing and your gorgeous freekicks; we'd rather spend our time screaming at these 14 divers, cheaters, and all-around dirtbags.
Dani Alves, Brazil
The right back took a stand against racism earlier in the year and we commend him for his admittedly orchestrated bravery. But Alves has a well-earned reputation as one of the worst divers on the planet. He cemented his status with an audacious flop in the semifinal of the 2010-2011 Champions League, a "foul" that earned a straight red card for Pepe, who we’ll get to in a moment. He’s fun to watch and a home town favorite, but his shenanigans may distract his team from playing their beautiful game.
