There are as many versions of western shirts as there are dreams of the West. From the traditional pearl snap ranch shirt to re-imagined versions coming out of places from Oregon to New York to Texas, we've found them all. Here's where to go if you want to embrace the look.
Ralph Lauren's RRL line was launched in 1993 and it's the Ralph collection, which gives its designers an excuse to thoroughly geek out on all things denim, is all about the western look. If you have a few hundred dollars to spend, you can pick up banded-collar striped "railman" shirts, twenties-inspired work vests, and beautiful selvedge jeans. We especially like the western-style, indigo work shirts with mother-of-pearl snaps. These have that classic starchy, minimal look and a trim fit.
