No move is easier and more effective for improved proprioception and lower-leg strength than box jumps. Start by jumping onto a box you can easily clear (likely 18 to 20 inches high), holding your landing for five to 10 seconds, and focusing on a soft landing on the way down. As you get comfortable, move to higher boxes and go faster.
