Built in the middle of the 19th century, Lucerne's Castle Guetsch half castle, half romantic notion of what a castle ought to be. Today, the castle houses a hotel and a restaurant, the Petit Palais, and serves as a stopover on trips to see the city's famous lion monument. The view from the top of the tower is extremely memorable.
