  • 1½ oz Laird's bonded apple brandy (or applejack)
  • 1½ oz yellow Chartreuse
  • 2 oz water

A jewel of a cocktail that dates from a midcentury Baltimore hotel bar. It's named for Maryland's diamondback terrapin, but it bites like a snake.
