As part of their partnership with the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series, Brooks Running has just released a special edition of their very popular Adrenaline GTS 17 model as a tie-in to the equally popular series of music-themed races across the country. To precisely no one's surprise, the shoes feature an all-over print emblazoned with a bunch of different styles of guitar: traditional acoustics, the iconic Flying-V, a Fender Stratocaster, and a steel guitar. On the heel-counter is the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon logo, which itself includes a guitar. The Adrenaline is a big, heavily cushioned shoe that offers a ton of stability for those who need it. It's available on the Brooks website for $120.
In addition to the special edition Adrenaline, Brooks' partnership with Rock 'n' Roll includes VIP Porta Potties that are present at select Rock 'n' Roll Races and available to anyone who purchases Brooks gear at the race expo.
On a related note, MJ Senior Editor Mike Conklin has been training for his first ever marathon, the Rock 'n' Roll DC Marathon, on March 11. He's been documenting his training with weekly posts here on the site. Should you care to follow along in his misery, start here and work your way back.
