The New York Auto Show Goes Big: 10 New SUVs, Trucks, and Crossovers

The story of the 2017 New York International Auto Show is unquestionably the continuing dominance of the SUV. The sport-ute formula is being tweaked in myriad ways, from the resurgence of the huge, unabashedly luxe family hauler to the rise of the coupe-shaped crossover with sports car–like specs. Of course there are other ways of going big: Fiat Chrysler unveiled the Demon, a 100 Octane–slurping beast made to accomplish one thing: go straight, fast. Sure, among the trucklets and gas guzzlers on the show floor, there are a few plug-ins that may portend the future — but you have to hunt for them.
