Specialized Sequoia

Specialized brought back the Sequoia for 2017, a bike which hadn’t been produced since 2010, much to the dismay of riders who loved the bike’s touring and adventuring capabilities. Designed to handle the just about anything you can throw at it — both on-road and off — it's built with Adventure Geometry that inspires confidence over rough terrain while still being efficient enough so that you can put your head down and cruise when back on the road. The top-of-the-line Sequoia Expert is built using size-specific steel tubing, which ensures that every frame is light, stiff, and offers a ride quality that’s only possible with steel. The Sequoia’s carbon FACT fork is strong yet compliant and even features an extra water bottle mount for extended trips away from civilization. Disc brakes, a 1x11 drivetrain with a wide range of gears, and a tubeless compatible wheelset with extra-wide 42mm tires complete the bike’s adventure-ready package. Three models are offered: the $3,500 Expert, the $2,000 Elite, and the $1,350 Sequoia. [From $1,350; specialized.com
