Constantly Posting Your Political Views
Maybe you don't like Donald Trump. Maybe you don't trust Hillary Clinton. Maybe you have a preference regarding who you go to the bathroom next to in public – maybe you don't. These are your views to hold and perfectly acceptable topics to engage in with family and friends when trying to ruin a nice dinner. But Facebook posts about personal politics rarely stimulate conversation among polite adults. Instead, social media makes it easy to be the man standing on a street corner shouting his thoughts into the air, or the other guy passing by, rolling his eyes and telling that man to go screw himself. Save your patriotism for the Olympics and your politics for Thanksgiving, when everyone is looking for a reason to leave the table anyway.
