Orbea Alma

Built for the most demanding XC riders and racers, the fourth iteration of the Orbea Alma reminds us of everything we love about front-suspension-only hardtails. The heart of the Alma is a monocoque frame constructed using laser cut sheets of carbon fiber to minimize excess, overlap, and other imperfections. Orbea’s engineers added a bend near the top tube/seat tube junction and thinner seat stays so that the frame can flex under load. The Alma also employs the new Boost standard’s wider rear-axle spacing, which means extra clearance for wider tires (and mud) and shorter chainstays for tighter handling. Several complete bike options are available, but we’re in love with the fully rigid Alma M-LTD featuring Orbea’s Spirit fork, SRAM’s new Eagle 1x12 drivetrain, and an incredible mint green paintjob.
