Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom

Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom

The biggest trend in smartphones is packing more and more cameras into handsets, without adding bulk. It's a smart bit of design sleight-of-hand, adding features like optical zoom — which normally requires a telescoping lens — to models like the iPhone 7 Plus. The ZenFone 3 Zoom can do that, but it also has two cameras dedicated to augmented reality (one cam tracks motion, and the other senses depth). Asus is gambling that someone will come up with a use for AR that doesn't have to do with Pokemon. But even if that doesn't happen, the ZenFone 3 will still be a standout choice for photographers, because of its 5,000 mAh battery. That's a massive amount of juice — the iPhone 7 Plus has 2,900 mAh — enough to recharge other phones or Bluetooth speakers, or keep you shooting for a full day without scrambling for an outlet.
