American Trench Fairisle Sock

Today was the first truly cold day in New York, with temps in the mid-30s during my morning commute. Nothing crazy, but cold enough to warrant a few warmer pieces—the most enjoyable of which has been this pair of socks from American Trench. They’re a blend of merino, nylon and cashmere, so they’re super soft and warm, but they're also breathable, so you avoid that nasty swampy feeling. They come up just over the calf, and, best of all, they stay there. Plus, bonus points for being made here in the US. (AmericanTrench.com, $33)
