How to Be as Strong as Ric Flair at 67

He might not be getting bloody in the ring with Hulk Hogan anymore, but Ric Flair (born Richard Morgan Fliehr) is still a total monster at 67. On Wednesday, the "Nature Boy" posted a video of himself hitting a stubborn single rep on a plated-up barbell, perfectly illustrating why heavy deadlifts are still one of the best strength moves out there.

A few headlines have popped up claiming that Flair put up 405 pounds, or eight 45-pound plates, total, but we're going to have to rain on that parade a little: It looks more like two of the plates are 45s, two are 35s, and four are 25s. Add to that a 45-pound barbell, and you're looking at a 305-pound lift (who's the underachiever now, Mrs. Clausen?). Still a commendable lift for a perfectly healthy twentysomething, and downright impressive for a sexagenarian, but someone needs to keep the internet honest, you know?

If we learned anything from that time a 61-year-old J.K. Simmons showed up on Instagram with a pair of shredded-up arms, it's that you don't have to give in to the impact of aging on your body.
