Cleveland wasn't the only thing NBA superstar Kyrie Irving left behind this summer after his trade to the Boston Celtics. The baller also dropped all animals and animal products from his diet, going fully vegan.
And he's not the only one. The good people at SB Nation have a lengthy roundup of the NBA players who have adopted the vegan lifestyle, and all of them seem to be shedding pounds and getting lean. In an early season interview, Irving said his new diet has increased his energy and is keeping him at a high performance level.
Irving, along with other stars like Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers and Enes Kanter of the New York Knicks have adopted the vegan lifestyle, cite the change bringing on new healthy vibes. Kanter said he had to switch things up when he looked in the mirror one day.
"I needed a bra," he said.
Enes Kanter said he was inspired to lose weight this offseason by looking in the mirror. Was eating too much Turkish food. "I needed a bra." pic.twitter.com/HabgBzfz0I— Erik Horne (@ErikHorneOK) September 17, 2017
