Think about it — even just hanging from a pull-up bar stretches your shoulders while enhancing grip and forearm strength. When you add the immense upper-body strength training benefits of performing an actual pull-up, with the added pull of gravity when you move through a full range of motion, you’re pretty much primed for the perfect double-duty strength-and-flexibility exercise. Just don’t short-change yourself here by shortening your range of motion to eke out more reps.
