Strengthen Your Core

Weak core muscles are associated with chronic low back pain, so it makes sense that a 2012 meta-analysis published in PLOS ONE found that a program consisting of core-stabilizing exercises was better at reducing back pain than a general exercise protocol. Plank variations, bird dogs, and hip bridges are all great options for improving core strength and stabilization. Do a quick series once a day before work or incorporate them into your regular workout routine.
