Sun Gods (Arm Circles) Front & Side
Here's one from my Marine physical training days. For the drill instructor, sun gods are a ritualistic way of calling forth the morning sun, performed in what feels like an endless loop until the break of day. This is a shoulder-burning movement that could be a workout within itself, but today we’re keeping the volume reasonable and using it to warm up those shoulders. Stand up tall with your arms and hands fully extended in front of you. Then draw small circles with your fingertips in a single direction. After 10 circles, change directions.
