Medicine Ball Push-Up

The push-up is one of our First 5 Moves and great for the chest, shoulders, biceps, and triceps. Let's take it a step further. The medicine ball push-up forces your chest, shoulders, and abdominals to stabilize your body as you perform a push-up. The narrow hand position will also increase the difficulty and allow the triceps to do more of the work. To execute this one, you're doing a regular push-up, but supporting yourself on a medicine ball with both of your hands. Remember to do it slowly and steadily, engaging your core to keep you from tipping over.
