Banded Face-Pulls

This movement is a great way to prepare those shoulders and upper back for the workout. To set it up, find an anchor point in the gym and wrap a light tension band around it. Focus on contracting your shoulder blades — imagine pinching a piece of paper between your scapulae — as you bring the band to your face. Slowly return the band to the starting position and repeat.
