Don’t Dismiss Junk Food

“I sweat a lot of salt,” says Larsen, “and I realized that if I was just chugging water all day, it wasn’t enough. So on a four-hour mountain bike ride, for instance, I’ll actually bring chili cheese Doritos or some potato chips.” The junk food is a satisfying treat, but it also replenishes all the sodium he is losing.
