Larsen has spent hundreds learning how his body performs best, when his energy ebbs and flows, and what perks him up. By the time he gets on the ice, he knows how best to use that to his advantage. “It’s good to understand how your body’s energy fluctuates over a long day,” he explains. “For me, proteins give longer steady energy, carbs give a little bit of a burst.”
