PainCave, functionally, is very similar to The Sufferfest, but with fewer bells and whistles. Like The Sufferfest, riders participate in virtual rides that include actual race footage from some of the world’s most prestigious events. This footage is supplemented with coaching by some of the best trainers and cyclists in the world, helping to guide you through each workout. You can even elect to follow a pre-orchestrated training program to take the guesswork out of your routine. That said, the platform only has about 20 total rides, doesn’t enable you to download videos for offline use, and doesn’t have the technology that would allow you to connect your bike trainer to the service for more accurately tracking.
