Peloton

If you haven’t heard of Peloton yet, it’s only a matter of time. This immersive indoor cycling workout is designed to bring the group cycling studio straight to your home. Granted, the start-up costs are high, setting you back a little more than $2,000 for the Peloton indoor-cycling bike, shoes, mat, and in-home installation, but once that’s taken care of, you pretty much have direct access to personalized coaching.

Every single day you can tune into live-streaming workouts coached by instructors in the Peloton New York City-based studio. These instructors interact with the virtual participants (that’s you), and you can, likewise, compete and compare your performance to your classmates who are tuning in from around the country. Plus, whenever you can’t join a live class, you still have access to thousands of streaming workouts you can start at any time.

But, if the start-up costs of the full Peloton experience are simply not feasible, you can always download the iOS Peloton app. It’s a bit like CycleCast in that you can use it with any indoor cycling bike or trainer, but this service gives you access to live workouts in addition to its library of streaming videos.

Cost of the full Peloton bike monthly membership: $39.99 after the start-up costs

Free Trial: None

Cost of the Peloton iOS app: $12.99 per month
